March of umbrellas
Some days aren’t as inspiring as others. They’re filled with the mundane, like staring into the bottom of a washing machine while loading

At first I was looking at the sky as I often do in the afternoon. First noticing the clouds and then a treetop caught my eye. It was a beautiful tree with impressive leaves stretching out across in the foreground of the blue sky and white clouds. I thought, I always look at the top of trees.
Why not look at the roots? Or the tree trunk. And so I circled the tree for a good 10 minutes and stared at the bark. And the literally thousands of ants who were traveling up, down, across—like some frenetic expressway. Some industrious ones carrying the the tip of a leaf or some remnant they found wedged into the crevices.

On the 2nd truly hot day of the summer, mid-to-upper 90s, I made it through most of the day aware that I hadn’t yet focused deeply on something. When the dusk was turning to evening, I stared at the sky. Watching the cloud formations as they drifted in and out of forms. A bat circled above and with the sounds of summer in the air, the nearby inaudible chatter of people on a porch, I leaned back satisfied that I’d been able to be quiet and document a place and time.

I have by no means been on Tumblr for a long time, but I have finally figured out some of the things I found most confusing when I first got an account. Below is a Tumblr FAQ of sorts because the Tumblr help system is not great. Topics include:
- How to make a page that contains specific content
- Searching for tags
- Tags in general
- Adding pages
- Gifs
- Photos
- Replies and Asks
- Account preferences
- What Tumblr Savior and Missing e are
And more. I hope this is helpful!
